Undergraduate admissions
B.A., B.Sc., and B.Com. programmes, applied through the State Student Academic Management System (SAMS Odisha).
How to apply
- Visit the SAMS Odisha portal at samsodisha.gov.in when applications open.
- Register using a personal email address and an active mobile number.
- Fill the Common Application Form. Choose Vikram Dev University and Vikram Deb College, or any of the affiliated colleges across Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Rayagada.
- Upload the prescribed documents (Class X and XII marksheets, photograph, signature, caste/community certificate where applicable, Aadhaar where lawful).
- Pay the application fee through the State payment gateway. Submit and download the application receipt.
- Track allotment status through the SAMS dashboard. Report at the allotted institution within the notified window.
Eligibility
- 10+2 (or equivalent recognised qualification) with not less than 45% aggregate marks; the relaxation for SC/ST candidates is as per State norms.
- Candidates from CHSE Odisha and CBSE/ICSE/State boards are equally eligible.
- For B.Sc., the qualifying examination must include the relevant science subjects.
- For Honours admission under FYUGP, the discipline-specific eligibility criteria apply (see the prospectus).

Documents required
- Class X (Matriculation) marksheet and certificate.
- Class XII (Higher Secondary) marksheet and certificate, or proof of result-pending status.
- Recent passport-size photograph and a clear signature image.
- Caste / community certificate where reservation is claimed.
- Income certificate where EWS reservation is claimed.
- Disability certificate where PwBD reservation is claimed (RPwD Act, 2016 conformity).
- Aadhaar: voluntary; required only where lawful and only for the limited purposes of authentication and APAAR registration.
