Undergraduate admissions

B.A., B.Sc., and B.Com. programmes, applied through the State Student Academic Management System (SAMS Odisha).

How to apply

  1. Visit the SAMS Odisha portal at samsodisha.gov.in when applications open.
  2. Register using a personal email address and an active mobile number.
  3. Fill the Common Application Form. Choose Vikram Dev University and Vikram Deb College, or any of the affiliated colleges across Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Rayagada.
  4. Upload the prescribed documents (Class X and XII marksheets, photograph, signature, caste/community certificate where applicable, Aadhaar where lawful).
  5. Pay the application fee through the State payment gateway. Submit and download the application receipt.
  6. Track allotment status through the SAMS dashboard. Report at the allotted institution within the notified window.

Eligibility

  • 10+2 (or equivalent recognised qualification) with not less than 45% aggregate marks; the relaxation for SC/ST candidates is as per State norms.
  • Candidates from CHSE Odisha and CBSE/ICSE/State boards are equally eligible.
  • For B.Sc., the qualifying examination must include the relevant science subjects.
  • For Honours admission under FYUGP, the discipline-specific eligibility criteria apply (see the prospectus).

Documents required

  • Class X (Matriculation) marksheet and certificate.
  • Class XII (Higher Secondary) marksheet and certificate, or proof of result-pending status.
  • Recent passport-size photograph and a clear signature image.
  • Caste / community certificate where reservation is claimed.
  • Income certificate where EWS reservation is claimed.
  • Disability certificate where PwBD reservation is claimed (RPwD Act, 2016 conformity).
  • Aadhaar: voluntary; required only where lawful and only for the limited purposes of authentication and APAAR registration.
